We’ve heard your feedback and appreciated you sharing with us your concerns regarding the recent swim diaper policy. Thank you to everyone who took the time to reach out and express their thoughts.
The intent with the updated swim diaper policy was to proactively reduce the potential for AFR (Accidental Fecal Release) incidents and extended closures, which significantly impact pool operations. We understand that the swim diaper policy created concern, and we apologize for any frustrations it may have caused our pool patrons.
Based on your input, we are rolling back the recent changes and returning to our previous “honor system” policy. We trust our community members to help us keep our pool clean and safe this summer. As a reminder:
• Incontinent patrons are required to wear a reusable swim diaper.
• Cloth swim diapers are available for purchase for $10 at the pool. (Note: Disposable swim diapers are not allowed as the sole barrier but can be worn underneath a reusable one.)
• Pool staff will continue to implement 5-minute bathroom breaks every hour during open swim.
We are hopeful for an AFR-free August and look forward to the rest of the season. Your feedback is vital to us, and we encourage you to continue sharing your questions and concerns as we move forward.
