(Update 10/30/25) We are happy to announce that the water main tie-in for Icicle Road was completed late last night, with service restored around midnight. The City’s Streets & Utilities crew worked extended hours to ensure the new main was flushed and operational.
- No Water/Low Pressure: If you are still without water, it may be due to sediment stirring up and clogging in-house filters or valves. We recommend exercising your main shutoff valve a couple of times and check/clean any internal filters.
- Delay Explanation: The unforeseen, extended shutoff timeline yesterday was due to several factors: the main took longer than expected to drain, unexpected difficulty with the physical connections, and the contractor was fighting water in the trench the whole time due to valves that didn’t fully seat during the tie-in.

(10/23/2025) WATER OUTAGE UPDATE: The planned water outage for Tuesday, October 28th, has been postponed. The contractor encountered an issue that must be resolved before the new water main is connected. We still anticipate an extended water outage sometime next week and will provide an update as soon as feasible.
Please be advised of an important, planned water service outage associated with the Icicle Road Transmission Main Project.
This necessary shutdown is required to allow the contractor to successfully connect the new water main.
Outage Details:
- Date: Tuesday, October 28th
- Time: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (approximately)
- Work: The outage requires closure of two specific valves: one just north of the bridge, and the north valve at the E Leavenworth Rd & Icicle Rd intersection.
- Affected Area: The service interruption will occur between the Icicle River Bridge and the water main connection at East Leavenworth Road (see graphic below). This will impact a significant number of water services within this segment.
