A 2020 Hazardous Materials Survey identified asbestos-containing pipe insulation within the underground utility corridors (utilidors) at the former Osborn Elementary School site. This project aims to remove all asbestos-containing materials from the utilidors to eliminate environmental and health hazards to support future redevelopment of the property.
As of April 15, 2026, the asbestos abatement work at the Osborn Elementary building has been completed.
