A Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Safety Action Plan is a community-based plan to make streets safer for everyone. It looks at where crashes or near-misses are happening, why they’re happening, and what can be done to prevent them. The goal is to reduce serious injuries and save lives—especially for people walking, biking, or using public transit. The plan will help Leavenworth make smart, long-term choices about street design, speed limits, and safety improvements so that everyone can get around more safely.
Spring 2026 – ADA Transition Plan: The city is performing a self-evaluation to identify barriers within the city right of way and public facilities that limit accessibility such as sidewalks, curb ramps, and park facilities. Once identified, a plan to remove barriers and make facilities ADA compliant will be created.
