LEAVENWORTH, WA – January 16, 2026 – The City of Leavenworth is seeking volunteers to apply for an open position on the Housing Advisory Committee, a citizen advisory board, beginning in late February 2026.

The Housing Advisory Committee is tasked with reviewing and making recommendations to the City Council on how to spend city funds devoted to housing; options for funding land purchase and/or construction of housing; housing development projects that request city funds; and options for infrastructure improvements that promote housing options.

The City is looking to fill one (1) position for a two-year term ending in January 2028. Potential committee members must be registered to vote, reside within City limits, and have lived within City limits for at least one year.

The Housing Advisory Committee meets at 3:00 PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall on the fourth Thursday of each month. Regular meetings typically last 1.5 to 2 hours, though they may extend longer due to specific topics.

Interested parties who meet the qualifications are invited to submit a letter of interest via email, mail, or in person by 4:00 PM on Friday, February 6, 2026. Letters of interest shall be submitted to:
